Recognizing Service Excellence

Once again the POA teamed up with Global Pensions to host the annual Imbasa Yegolide Awards for 2010.

The Awards allow Principal Officers in the retirement industry to recognize those service providers who have rendered excellent service to retirement funds. What makes the Awards distinct is the fact that they raise the profile of Principal Officers of retirement funds. Principal Officers play a key role in supporting boards of trustees and can be instrumental in successful fund management and good board governance.

The Awards took place on the evening of Monday 31 May 2010 which was also the first day of the POA’s annual Winter Conference. They took the form of a dazzling gala dinner event. Guests enjoyed drinks on arrival and were treated to a plated three-course dinner. During the ceremony the winners of the Awards were announced and invited to the stage to collect a trophy.
